The Bigger Picture — Documenting Ideas at Copenhagen from Simple Earth Media on Vimeo.
How do you represent an idea?
When historians write about the global transition to a green future, they will analyze all sorts of information. In the past, a historian looking at World War I, for example, would look at government documents, news writing, video, personal letters and journals, and surviving documents. In the future, how historians analyze the events of our global green transition will be very different: they will have access to all sorts of media and more personal perceptions than ever before. It’s almost mind boggling to think about a historian reviewing Youtube, Twitter and Facebook archives at some distant future time. As media evolves, governments and organizations are changing the way they use media to document events.
The Bigger Picture, based in Denmark, specializes in documenting ideas. They will be present through out the the Copenhagen Climate Summit, and they started on The Climate Express last Saturday.

I love this idea of a visual representation of what is happening at Copenhagen and the ideas coming out of it. I look forward to hearing/seeing more.
