I mean, do they die like cellphone batteries do after many many charges, and need to be replaced? And can they be recycled easily, or are they full of heavy metals? Just curious about the impact of replacing batteries, are we going to have battery landfills to go with our old computer landfills, or is there a movement to make batteries more sustainable? One other point that is noteworthy is that central power plant pollution generally can be - and is - minimimized with pollution controls that are more effective than what can be installed on a car.
