Hello Adam, just wanted to let you know that Twilight Earth has been added to the Chemically Green blog roll. Thanks again for adding CG to Twilight Earth's blog roll.

Recycling in the world of chemicals.
Waco Chemical just purchased over 7000 pounds of chemicals that was put in our re-cycling program for use in our finished chemical products. For all of 2008, Waco Chemical has re-cycled over 50,000 pounds of chemicals that were formulated into usable products and resold to our customers.

Most of these chemicals were dead inventory from large chemical manufacturers, sample drums of chemicals that could not be sold or part drums of material that was still usable but could not be sold due to amounts in drums. We were able to use them all.
Also, this brings our total number of pounds recycled to
695,856 pounds through December 08. Just a few thousand pounds of chemicals to be recycled to yield over 700 thousand pounds recycled since this program was started.
Re-cycling of these products yield important factors for the environment.
1. Chemicals are not being disposed of at a disposal facility which usually means burying.
2. Chemicals are not incinerated for disposal which could yield high emission levels pumped into the atmosphere.
3. Recycling the chemicals means we can recycle the containers (plastic or steel) and use again, or dispose of at a certified drum re-cycler just down the street from our company.
4. This is a win/win situation for Waco Chemical, the original chemical manufacturer, our customers (who receive more competitive pricing) and the environment.
Chemically Green, a division of Waco Chemical & Supply Co.
Doing our part to be a green chemical company and getting the word out.
Best of luck with you and your wife on the new house adventure. I can identify with you and your wife and my wife is a real super mate and outstanding person that saves my bacon several times a week. She helped me (and my daughters) when we built our house in 1979. Will be in touch.

Is that an old MRE spoon? :) Great idea on the coffee grounds - it's a real shame to just throw those away.
