Twilight Earth is Changing, and I’d Like Your Thoughts

Life is about CHANGE, and Twilight Earth is changing to better serve your needs and interests.

When I started this website, I wasn’t really sure I knew what I was doing, (and I still don’t) but one of things that I have learned is that a successful website is one that dedicated to point specific subject matter. Subject matter is one of the things that I have struggled with here at Twilight Earth, as the “Environment” is such a big subject, and encompasses almost every facet of human life and it’s impact on the planet.

So I often sit at the computer in the evening and thing “What do we want to talk about tomorrow? Politics? Consumerism? Fossil Fuels? Global Warming? Gold Mining? (You get the idea)

Well I have been doing something on Sundays called “Photo Sundays” and that has been very popular. I did a post this past Monday called Good News Monday and committed to only doing positive green news on Mondays, and yesterdays “Reuse-day Tuesday” article was a lot of fun.

So… in an effort to keep it simple, I’m thinking about devoting a green topic or genre to a specific day of the week. Here’s what I’m thinking.

• Good News Monday – Who wouldn’t like a little good news on Mondays? We work hard to stay green. We might even fight the good fight in our own ways. Lets celebrate our victories with positive Green News on Monday.

• Reuse-day Tuesday – “Reuse”, the left behind little sibling of the “Recycle-Reduce-Reuse” triplets. Tuesdays will be dedicated to what to, where to, when to, why to and how to Reuse almost everything or anything.

• World Wide Wednesday- I’m an American, but the Environment is about the planet. So lets talk about what other countries are doing (or not doing) in reference to the Environment and Climate Change. We have a lot to learn from them, and many of them are leading the way.

• Furs-day Thursday – Not just about saving the Wolves, but about all things Nature Related. We are avid hikers and kayakers, so you may see articles about our encounters with wildlife, trail journals from my Appalachian Trail hike, nature in peril…

• Free for all Friday – This will be my opportunity to discuss anything else in the Envirosphere, from Green Politics, to Green Tech, Perhaps some video’s. Its a Free for all.

• Action Day Saturday – An opportunity to find out how others are fighting the Green fight. Demonstrations, protesting, civil disobedience, petitioning… From the lime green center to the deep green left.

• Photo Sunday – I’ll continue our Photo Sunday Tradition with Photo’s that I have taken, photo’s that others have taken and possibly even photos that readers submit. All Environmental or Nature Related.

I’ve always said that Twilight Earth isn’t about me. It’s about us. I welcome your input. Is this a format that you would like to see? Would it keep you coming back? Am I completely nuts?
